This Syma S107 Review was Fun for the Whole Family
This little Syma S107 is a very special RC Helicopter.
To begin, I purchased a Syma S107 Helicopter for my son for Christmas. I was hoping that he would get excited about being able to fly the Syma S107, but I am never sure how kids are going to react to things. My son was about 13, so he was not getting overly excited about toys as he did when he was a bit younger; but I was hoping for a resurgence of youthful excitement because this thing is supposed to actually fly around. Of course, I was just thinking of this as a toy that would probably only entertain him for a few minutes. I do not know much about helicopters; but in my mind, I had visions of the Syma Helicopter possibly rising a foot or 2 off the ground for a minute or two and then running out of battery and dropping back to the ground. This did not sound all that fun over the long haul, so I was preparing myself for my son flying it once or twice and never touching it again.
Fast forward to Christmas morning when we open the Syma S107 Helicopter
My son tore open the wrapping paper to reveal the Helicopter, so we can now start our Syma S107 Review. He was excited about getting it out of the box which I expected, but I was still preparing myself for the letdown that was coming after a few minutes of use. So, I helped him get this thing ready to fly which was not much more than hooking it up to my PC to charge using the supplied USB cable. We let the Helicopter charge for a while, and we took it into the front room to try it out. My son wanted me to try it out first, and I was probably a bit more excited than he was anyway for some reason.
OK, now the Syma S107 Review information
I took the controller and fired it up for the official Syma S107 Review. I must say that it caught me off guard how much fun it was to fly right away. I pressed forward on the control stick, and it took off. I was able to fly it all around the room right away, and it was ultra-stable. Do not get me wrong. This helicopter is not boring at all. Now my son was very interested in getting his turn to fly now that he saw the helicopter zooming around the room, but it was not on my mind to give up the controls just yet. I must say that I flew it until it ran the battery down, and all that was on my mind was to recharge and get going again. OK, it was on my mind; but my son was going to get a turn although he had to wait for another charge which did not go over well with him. My actions did not make me feel great about myself either. Once it was charged up, my son was able to fly it right away as well. I guess either his skills to flying a Helicopter were inherited from me or this thing was just easy to fly. After a a while, the battery ran down and it was back on the ground. So, the moment of truth; does he like it or not. I cannot even tell you how many times he charged and few the Syma S107 Helicopter, but that is all he wanted to do for the next few days. I must say that I flew it a lot as well. It is a very satisfying experience due to how easy it is to fly, but moves around well enough to make it exciting. The RC Helicopter was a hit after all. I did not expect it; but if you think about it, this is a Radio Controlled Helicopter that basically can be flown by a complete novice without crashing it and breaking it up in the first 5 minutes. Also, it has a complex stabilization system using Gyroscope Technology; so it handles like a dream. I have not had to by any Syma S107 Parts yet because this thing just does not break that easy which is another plus for the little Helicopter. We may not have had high tech toys like this when I was a kid, but it made me appreciate it even more now that I am a big kid.
So, I give a big thumbs up for the results of our Syma S107 Review; so you can quit wondering if this RC Helicopter is a good buy because it is both inexpensive and fun.
